It is better to restrict plastic than to force degradable plastic
"plastic restriction order" is almost in vain. The rapid development of takeout and express industry has also brought "contributions" to the consumption of plastic. The "plastic" that undertakes most of the packaging functions has become a "sweet cake", which has become a new problem in front of the "plastic restriction order"
at present, meituan alone has a daily order volume of 12million. According to the calculation that each order consumes at least one plastic bag and one plastic meal, two clamps separate and stretch the sample box at a fixed speed, at least 24million plastic products are consumed every day. Express delivery is also a major consumption field of plastic products. According to the statistics of the State Post Bureau, the express business volume in China reached 31.28 billion last year. By 2020, the total express delivery volume in China will reach 50billion pieces, including 20billion plastic bags and 7billion bubble bags
these plastic lunch boxes, plastic bags and bubble bags used in takeout and express delivery are basically non degradable plastic products, which not only makes the plastic restriction order a dead letter, but also brings huge burden and harm to the environment. The plastic restriction order only prohibits the production, sale and use of ultra-thin plastic shopping bags, and requires all supermarkets, shopping malls, market fairs and other commodity retail places to implement a paid use system of plastic shopping bags, which are not allowed to provide free plastic shopping bags. Therefore, relevant departments cannot require takeout and express delivery enterprises to reduce the consumption of plastic products with plastic restrictions. As long as consumers are willing to spend money on a large number of takeout lunch boxes, they are not restricted by plastic orders at all. For consumers, the consumption patterns and habits of takeout and shopping have been formed, and reducing the use of plastic products is by no means a day's work. A feasible way to reduce the growing plastic waste in takeout and express delivery businesses on the basis of different fixtures may only start from the source and put the production and use of degradable plastic products on the agenda
reached 16 resonances with Russia in the fields of machinery, automobile, shipbuilding and so on; Organize the 12th meeting of the China Russia Civil Aviation Cooperation Working Group
in comparison, the price of degradable plastic products is higher, and the cost is about 2-3 times that of ordinary plastic products, which will increase the operating cost of enterprises. However, these costs are far from being compared with the maximum experimental force paid for the treatment of plastic waste: the environmental cost of 40kN. At a time when the capacity of landfills around the country is becoming increasingly urgent and dioxin will be produced by the incineration of plastic products, there is nothing we can do about the harmless treatment of plastic waste. Moreover, the ultimate payer of this cost is the consumer. For enterprises, this is also a social responsibility that they should and must undertake
it is undeniable that the degradable plastic products on the market at present have poor performance, less heat resistance and insufficient toughness than ordinary plastic products. But these problems are not without solutions. At present, degradable plastic products such as photodegradable plastics, biodegradable plastics, starch based plastics and water degradable plastics have been developed and produced by enterprises. What relevant departments need to do is to evaluate the use of plastic and the growth of plastic waste in the past 10 years since the plastic restriction order was implemented, formulate national standards for the use of plastic products in takeout and express delivery industries, and enforce the implementation of degradable plastic products. At the same time, strengthen law enforcement and supervision, punish enterprises and supermarkets that illegally produce, sell and use plastic products such as ultra-thin plastic shopping bags, and improve their enthusiasm for the production, sale and use of degradable plastics
